Position: ASSOCIATE (LITIGATION)
Position Overview:
LMA (Liaquat Merchant Associates) is interested in recruiting an Associate with post-qualified experience (PQE) of 1 – 3 years to join its existing team in the Litigation Department.
Key Responsibilities:
The role would be to work closely with the Partners in relation to a broad range of on-going and new litigation matters including civil, commercial, medical negligence, constitutional and administrative law matters.
LMA works with the leading financial institutions, governments, multinational companies, corporates in Pakistan, and private clients so this is an excellent opportunity to join a market leader with excellent long-term career prospects.
Qualifications & Skills:
LMA is interested in a dynamic individual with excellent academics, who is looking to develop their long-term career in a top-tiered law firm. The candidate will be required to assist the Partners and should have effective research, drafting, and advocacy skills.
- The successful candidate will be a law graduate, preferably with a post-graduate qualification (BPTC or LPC), who is enrolled as an advocate with the Sindh Bar Council and Karachi Bar Association, with PQE of 2 – 3 years.
- Strong Academics (minimum 2:1 degree)
- Good interpersonal skills
- Excellent research and drafting skills
- Effective communicator
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to formulate, consider and select the most appropriate solutions
- Strong relationship management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team
